Yes, but that doesn't actually prove that they were not murdered. It would certainly be advantageous to the British monarchy if all this talk of assasination were to dry up but there are serious issues that have not been addressed.

The driver, Henri Paul, is the key. Is it probable that a man in his position (and who had recently passed stringent medical tests to obtain a pilot's license) would be the fall about drunk we have been led to believe he was?

MI6 could certainly have carried out the murders. The royals have certainly had it easier since Diana died. The establishment have made an excellent job of ridiculing any and all conspiracy theories but a large body of intelligent people still have their suspicions. It doesn't mean they are right. But it doesn't mean they are wrong. One thing is for sure if they were murdered we will never find out about it.
