Economical way to beat terror.

Reader comment on item: Must Counterinsurgency Wars Fail?

Submitted by Radovan (Australia), Sep 14, 2008 at 23:32

I agree, there is little chance to beat terrorism the hot way. Rather bloodless and clever way is economical one: If we redirect all the cost of war on terror into development of our energy need without dependence on oil, the Arabs, Communists and others, who are lucky to have oil for blackmailing us, would have no more obscene amount of monies for financing terror for religious, political or jealousy reasons. They could eat sand and drink their oil when thirsty.... Without money for Kalashnikovs ,bullets, C-4 and essential support, terror would disappear within a few years. Then, and only then, we may do business with them on equal terms and assist them if they behave in civilized fashion.
