Dear Mr. JJ-

In response to your recent communication, I'd like to offer a few select quotations from the trilogy of the Koran, Surah, & Hadith in order to make my point:

2:96 Jews are the greediest of all humankind. They'd like to live 1000 years. But they are going to hell. 3:19Non-muslims will be punished by Allah for their nonbelief. 4:89 Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 9:5 Slay the idolaters wherever you find them. 7:166 But when even after this they disdainfully persisted in that from which they were forbidden, We said to them, "Become apes—despised and disgraced!" (Maududi) 2:65 And you know well the story of those among you who broke Sabbath. We said to them: "Be apes—despised and hated by all." 66 Thus We made their end a warning to the people of their time and succeeding generation, and an admonition for God-fearing people. (Maududi) 5:60 Then say: "Should I inform you [People of the Book] of those, who will have even worse recompense from Allah than the transgressors? They are those whom Allah has cursed; who have been under His wrath; some of whom were turned into apes and swine; who worshipped taghut [the devil or idols]; those are the people who are in a far worse plight and who have turned farthest away from the Right Way." (Maududi)

Mr. JJ, the insults lobbed against us by Muslims go on and on and on and on. I could have included twenty or fifty or one hundred such inflammatory verses from the Koran. But surely, this is not news to you. How would you like it sir, if the Jewish or Christian bible was filled with exhortations calling for the conversion, submission or slaughter of Muslims who failed to "see the light"? How would you like to be called the son of an ape or a pig. You would ball your fist and punch whomever insulted you directly in their eye --- and rightfully so.

How then can you not expect non-Muslims to feel likewise? Such things were outrageous seven hundred years ago. They are unspeakably outrageous today. And, make no mistake, they will NOT be tolerated. Call me the son of an ape and I will crack your skull. Try to impose your religion on me in my own homeland no less, and I will boot you back to wherever you came from. This, my friend is how the world works. You would do well to get used to it.

You want respect? You want friendship? Then please stop ramming your religion down the throats of those who don't like it, don't want it and shudder at the thought of it. You want to be perceived as something other than a terrorist? Then stop walking into pizza parlors or peaceful religious feasts laden with a chest full of deadly explosives.

You want to be taken as something other than a pack of lunatics. Then stop urging your four year old children to become "martyrs" for Allah and handing out sweets when some poor deluded Islamic schmuck blows himself up along with seventeen or eighteen innocents at a McDonalds. On the other hand, if it is war and hatred and death these people want then be aware that legions of non-Muslims stand ready to fight to the death against those insane and barbaric protagonists chanting "death to the infidel" and so on.

Many Muslims are fond of saying that they love death more than the "Kaffir" loves life. But these people fail to grasp something which they will eventually learn. You see we non-Muslims also believe that there is something greater than ourselves worth living and, yes, even dying for. It is called freedom. And here's the rub. We are willing to fight and die, not just for our freedom but for your freedom too. This is such a fundamental concept to us that the threads that form our constitution are bound with it.

We really do believe that each human being is endowed with certain inalienable rights; the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Here is the bottom line. We non-Muslims are not going to simply stand by and let Islam run us over, or sneak up on us from behind or whatever else it tries to do in executing Muhammad's marching orders from 622 AD. We are wise to the games and duplicities and all the other nonsense. The days of using our own freedoms against us are just about at an end. That is the purpose of this website and many others.

So thank you for your courage in expressing a contrary opinion. But please be prepared to spar with those who are knowledgeable and passionately prepared to stand up for what they believe in.
