Reader comment on item: When Osama bin Laden becomes PC

At this point, after reading Mr. Pipes' article, I have to say that the British prison system is absolutely nuts! The reason those people are in prison is because they have committed crimes against the society, which found them guilty of those crimes. They were not sent to prison for being Muslims, but for being criminals. Osama Bin Laden is an even greater criminal than these are. To not point this out is to encourage the future criminal activities of those who might now be encouraged by the coddling of a terrorist and the insane reaction of the prison system in condemning a prison guard for having pointed out that Osama was a walking horror story, even if it was said in a jocular manner.

This is the point at which one may justifiably claim that political correctness has taken on the form of a national insanity, and that this mental disability could be the final destruction of Britain.

Believe me, were the shoe on the other foot, the Muslims would not have been so "broadminded". The final question, "will there always be an England" is appropriate. The land mass may be there, but the government won't. Her Majesty's government has its head in the sand.
