Islam & NOIReader comment on item: Did the ACLU Disrupt My Talk at American University? Submitted by WillofGod (United States), Jul 16, 2008 at 20:19 Thanks Jennifer for your clarification on some things I had been missing. Also for the wishes in Africa. I was finding my debates very difficult as so many of them involve supporters of NOI and Muslims. Also, many of the American Muslims are not aware of the differences you've pointed out. I my general feeling was that the true Muslims as a whole actually had much more knowledge about their Qu'ran than those of the NOI. This somewhat makes a lot of sense considering that the main marketing pitch of the NOI has to do with empowering African Americans and bastardizing the "white devils". The obvious racism involved with the NOI would appeal more to ignorant minds. Many NOI supporters also define racism by using the definition of White Supremacy and believing in the obvious grammatical error of "reverse-racism". These errors in definition bothers the heck out of me considering that the etymology of the term "racism" shows that this simply came about through the mis-use of this word! lol I hope no one takes this response as racist in anyway as I've just always held the belief that racism = ignorance regardless of your color.
