EgoReader comment on item: The Problem with Middle East Studies Submitted by Stuart Teich (United States), Jul 15, 2008 at 01:50 I'm amazed. This is the fourth time in 36 hours I've had occasion to share this thought. Must be something in the air. Plenty of insecures... of all specialities have great trouble admitting those three tiny words, "I don't know." Here's the thing: Thinking about things you don't enjoy is a high order development. Deciding that something fun, enjoyable, or convenient must be stopped is even more so. Most people are intellectual toddlers, at best, advanced degrees not withstanding. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
