A mighty weaponReader comment on item: Interview with Daniel Pipes Submitted by Ugri (Finland), Jul 11, 2008 at 09:12 From the interview: "We can't fight a religion." I've been mulling over this sentence. True, it's a clear-headed conviction, yet as a Christian I feel like being left defenceless against something threatening. Could there be a way out? Sure, we can not fight a religion, yet we can refuse to accept it. We must shun and oppose a deeply anti-christian and profoundly anti-jewish religion. Awareness must be awakened! The work done by Dr. Pipes in this respect is admirable and exemplary. How about us ordinary Christians? A mighty weapon has been given us: the Word — "quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword." Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
