Deception

Well, Carmen, it's because he LIED, bare-faced, about it. Even in his Catholic school he was registered as a Muslim student and took Muslim studies and prayer services, not Catholic. But he Lies and says he was always Christian. (And then there's an open question about whether adherents of hate-spewing Black Liberation Theology are Christian in any sense of the word, but that's another issue.)

Further, Muslims world-wide consider the father's religion definitive. Anyone who rejects Islam later is dead meat; they can't even recant and return to the fold. Allah may forgive, but here on Earth they are forever contaminated and condemned.

It's just one more item; if Oblabla has told the truth about anything substantive in his past, no one knows what that might be.
