My MistakeReader comment on item: Obama vs. McCain on the Middle East Submitted by Rubicon (United States), Jun 12, 2008 at 01:05 Infidel... you are correct that my comments appear to imply Obama actually said what I had put in quotes. I meant to somehow imply that this appeared to be what Obama & perhaps many others mean when he or they discuss how to solve the Palestinian issue. I am nor sure how to express or imply that statements made always seem to be followed with, "but" or "if only," or due to," and all the other qualifiers we hear from any in our political system. Its like the war in Iraq. Deaths and/or violence is significantly declined. However, many in the media "couch" those facts with comments that dwell on deaths and violence, rather than the reality that progress has been made. Its ain't perfect, but its better than it was because we have done much to make it so, such as bridges, schools, legislative actions by the Iraqi Parliament (which has moved slowly, but they have moved). So, I apologize for permitting my comments to look like I was saying "Obama said," when I meant to say, Obama and others always seem to couch what they say with comments like "if only." I did not mean to connect words, statements, or deeds with something one has done when in fact they have not.
