Islamist Leadership vs. Islamic leadershipReader comment on item: A French lesson for Tom Harkin Submitted by leora levy (United States), Jan 6, 2004 at 10:06 Hi Daniel,It seems to me that Senator Harkin did not listen to or read your remarks carefully. You clearly refer to Islamist leadership, a dangerous anti-American, anti-Semitic,anti-democratic politicalization of Islam, which has a stranglehold on the Muslim religion and the mosques in America. Sen. Harkin's Pollyanna-ish statement refers to Muslims and Islam in general, ignoring the insidious and dangerous influence of the Wahabis and Islamism on the organized Muslim Community in America. It is frightening that a U.S. Senator could be so ignorant and so blind. Happy New Year, Leora Levy Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
