Jewish Lobby

STS,

Lobbyists in the USA have their way most of the time. You obviously don't like the idea that Jews have a strong lobby in DC. Well, they are not the only ones.

Lobbyists are more successful with lawmakers because unlike the American public (which is getting stupider by the second), these are high class, elite individuals who are master manipulators.

Quite frankly, it boils down to will power and communication skills. I listen to talk radio often and I blog a lot, and the communication skills of the general Western (not just USA) public pale and stink in comparison to the lobbies.

Also, many Americans bicker (at me a lot to because I call Washington often) that they don't have time, but judging by the Nielsen ratings, they have the time to watch reality TV, American Idol and football every week. I guess seeking what Clay Aiken does on TV is more important than having a say in where your tax money, your hard-earned money and time away from family and friends---goes.

It's amazing how powerful an electronic box is.

What I am trying to say here is that many---if not most----Americans would rather sit on in front of the TV and sizzle with hatred than pick up the phone and call their lawmaker. They'll come onto to blogs and shout out their frustration behind walls of anonoymous names and complain about it to their close friends and family, but that's it.

So as you can see, lobbyists have very little competition, because the middle class is silent. The only impact they have is in the general election, where everyone's vote counts as one.

You said in another post McCain will win. He's got the lobby support. Obama doesn't, because he openly opposes them.

I don't know where you got the idea that Jews control the media, but if they did, I truly doubt that the NY Times, San Francisco Chronicle, CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC would rejoice at every loss in Iraq. You may see it as negative to Islam because Muslims are doing most all the killing, but they are reporting it to discredit Bush because they are angry that Al Gore lost.

I don't what it is with people and end times, but over the last 2000 years, people seem to think the end is going to come in their lifetimes.

There will be more global shifts in power, STS, but as far as Isreal and Palestine go these days, they are just a side-show. The real battle I think will be, once again, in Europe, which is destabilizing. This SHOULD be a campaign issue, but republicans and democrats aren't really known for their foresight.
