A Reasoned Voice

Reader comment on item: Radical Islam vs. Academic Freedom: One Example

Submitted by Dr. I Thomas Sheppard (United States), Apr 29, 2002

Hello again:

I introduced myself to you on the beautiful Bainbridge Island Ferry one morning as you crossed the sound on your way to Seattle. I am delighted your program went well and that the students of UW had an opportunity to hear a reasoned voice for a change. That is something that doesn't happen very often on a campus these days. Perhaps that's one reason I gave up tenure to join the business world.

Kind regards,

Tom Sheppard
