I came across the group "Muslims against Terrorism" (MATUSA) and was very excited to finally find a moderate Muslim organization that is openly against terrorism and promotes peace. http://www.rayhawk.com/classics/matusa/home.html
However, I was disappointed that when I tried to contact the site using their contact email, it was returned to me. I haven't tried all of the email addresses listed, but it appears from their "News and Events" section that not much has been updated since the Organization's conception in 2001.
This is too bad. It otherwise appears to be a very refreshing site. But if the organization was quickly created after 9/11 (it was created only a month or so after 9/11) only for appearance -- and I really hope this is not the case -- I will be disappointed. Such an organization should get much more press -- assuming there is an actual support base behind it. If there is, as the site claims, I wonder why they have not been updating the site.
Anyone who has any further information about MAT, I would love to hear it. Thank you.
