Hello sTs,

Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God. The Word of God is from God. I have never heard any practicing Christian, in any country, at any time in history state otherwise.

There are over 5,000 hand-written manuscripts of the Bible, dating as far back as 125 A.D. These were found in different locations, at different times, throughout history; first copied from the original, they were then written from copies of copies - sometimes copies of copies of copies of copies - and STILL, their accuracy TODAY, when comparing one to another, oldest (125 A.D.) to the newest, is 99.5%.

The Bible does not "mock" the prophets, God, or anything else.

With regards to Satan and his offer of lands in exchange for Jesus' "worship" (Matt. 4:8-9). God created man to have dominion over the earth (Gen. 1:26-28). When Adam disobeyed God in the Garden, Adam surrendered rulership of the earth to Satan. Today the devil is still the ruler of this world and holds the title "the god of this world" (2 Cor. 4:4).

While Satan is the "ruler" of this world, he is certainly not in control.

The world remains in chaos. Satan cannot effectively administer the world.

Satan's offer of splendid earthly domains to Jesus did not fool Jesus, of course. Satan, exercising his temporary authority in the future Tribulation, will establish the "man of sin", the infamous dictator of the Revived Roman Empire (2 Thess. 2:3-9; Rev. 19:20).

Of course, despite Satan being the "ruler" of this world, God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, veracity, justice, and imutable; Satan is none of these things.

In other words, Satan's "rule" is temporary, and explains much of the world's horrific as well as apostate circumstance; however, Jesus Christ controls history. Despite Satan and his desires.

All it takes is belief in Christ, and we are no longer at the mercy of Satan's "rule".
