After 11 years in the UK, I have recently arrived back in the USA. While in London, I lived in the Wood Green area, only two miles from Finsbury Park Mosque (inhabited by Abu Hamza), and was in close contact with the Al Muhajiroun group...in a contentious way.
My contact with Al Muhajiroun was used to help provide information to authorities, and was used by them to ban the group in the UK. Of course, there were other groups which sprang out of them. Yet, their verbal terrrorism on the street is now less noted in urban areas.
In returning to my homeland, I am horrified to find that the group has never actually been disassembled in this country. It is my intent to continue the work against this group, just as it was begun in the UK.
