What about the crusades??

Reader comment on item: Will Europe Resist Islamization?

Submitted by Rajan Samuel (India), Apr 17, 2008 at 03:28

Since the dawn of civilisation, Europe has seen massive and brutal ethnic cleansing. Millions have died violently at the hands of fanatics. Both religios and political. Holy armies brutally crushed the peaceful pagens. They burned pagen women on stakes at the infamous witch hunts because they wanted a male dominated society.

Europe has a history of violent religious take overs. Remember Hitler? His warped menality? I want to ask something? What does the avarage middle class muslim has to do with terrorism. I am a Christian living in India. But if I meet a muslim person, I would not conclude at once, that that person is a fanatic! To blame Islam for all the ills of the world is not only foolish, but paranoid,

And what about the Hindus? Remember Graham Stains? We call ourselves civilized. But the fact is, 40,000 years of civilization, hasn't changed a thing. It is still the rule of jungle. The strongest, the mightiest always try to supress the weak.

Blaming one group does not absolve YOU of the sins comitted in the name of your group.

When we point one finger at anybody, we forget that the remaining four are pointing towards us

"More sins are commited in the name of religion, then in the name of crime." - Umberto Eco
