in response to reader comment: Saving the Palestinian Children

Rochelle Michaels:

Of course I would want Palestinian children "...[to] be turned from a life of genocidal hatred" I agree, and it is unfortunate that my suggestion is probably pie in the sky. All hope, in my view, is in the next generation. Children are not born into an evil or good worldview, they have potential for both, Palestinian and Jewish children alike.

Seeing how Palestinian children are deliberately raised in a war zone, indoctrinated with genocidal hatred, dragged into military engagements and encouraged to participate if even by throwing rocks or placing themselves into the line of fire, seeking martyrdom before they're old enough to know the meaning of "the cause" for which they are asked to die, I think they are the key to the conflict:

If all Palestinian children could be taken, as one, out of there and raised in an objective environment that did not fuel the fires of rage or compound the victimhood mentality -- then injected back into the situation as adults with a balanced understanding of the world -- I believe the fires of the conflict would be quenched in a generation or two. As it stands it is only likely to get worse ... the Pal children are the victims of today, and the victimizers of tomorrow.
