Lighten up BERTHA! You are sounding a lot like Mansoor. You say that you are are trying to develop yourself into a "fully devoted follower of Christ". I think that, once you work through the Bible all the way to the Gospels you will find a conundrum. You do not write, or I suspect speak, like a follower of Christ. Christ summarized his word in the Two Great Commandments:

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

Jesus' theology was one of inclusion what you declare is a theology of exclusion. Your basis is not in Christ but in a nasty little man from the fourth century named Athanasius of Alexandria. His was a mission of culling any faith that was not in accord with his own from the herd. Such a proposition could be characterized as, "My Christianity is NOT false...The mega-churches....well, they all sing the same tune and preach the same generic message....You know that "Secret" crap. That's baloney!"

Look carefully above at the teaching of Jesus (that is the Two Great Commandments) and compare it with the creed that you posed to Infidel. Yours is pretty close to Athanasius' Nicene Creed which he backed up with beatings, intimidation, kidnapping and imprisonment to silence his theological opponents. Your "Do you believe"s do not come from the "Church that Jesus Built"; they come from the Church that Paul (of Tarsus) built. Jesus did not build a Church he announced the opening of the Kingdom of God. Paul's Church ensured that the teachings of Jesus survived to the present day but much of that church is not in accordance with those teachings (see above).

I feel bad for you. If your faith can be annihilated with the lost of one premise then it is a weak faith. The filter of Jesus teachings (see above) casts doubt on much of what came both before and after. Jesus' God is not a jealous God; Mansoor's is and if yours is then you are in the same misguided space that he is. Good luck to you and God Bless.
