Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law
in response to reader comment: WARNING TO LIBERALS: A LOOK AT 'SAUDI AMERICA'

I don't know how many hours you've spent to create such a hype against Islam and your so called threat for liberty of women.

The liberty of women which west claims is actually the most horrible picture of women abuse. The women is to be respected, honoured and cherished with utmost love. But in west, the women is more like a toy or a tissue paper of toilet. You use and throw and never look back...isn't this the liberty you are talking about. You know Islam honours Mothers as most respected and most important part of the family. She has been given noble responsibility to raise children, see domestic matters and ensure the well being of the family. She is not forced to earn for her kids although there is no such binding if she wants to work to increase the income of her family. Moreover, her rights are 3 times more strong than the father of her child. West has no respect for the females. In schools, colleges and work place, women are subjected to sexual harrasment and disgrace. Women are subjected to ramp modeling stripped off or topless, people throw pennies on to them, and still you say they are respected.

Muslims are far far better than you people. Recent report I saw on internet says that out 100 children aborted by their mothers 90% are females. How shame. Still you advocate female rights?????

Quran strongly stops the abuse of children in womb or even killed after birth.

[81:1] When the sun will be folded up, [81:2] and when the stars will swoop down, [81:3] and when the mountains will be set in motion, [81:4] and when the ten-months pregnant she-camels will be abandoned, [81:5] and when the wild beasts will be gathered together, [81:6] and when the seas will be flared up, [81:7] and when the people will be arranged in categories, [81:8] and when the girl-child that was buried alive will be asked, [81:9] for what sin she was killed,

The verse goes on with declaration of heavy punishments.

I must say that no religion can guarantee women's respect as Islam does. You cannot say anything wrong about Islam and rights of Women until you read the teachings without a biased approach.

Take care!
