Bahadin, I just want to let you know that I'm very compelled by your arguments, especially those about who is being discriminated against. It really upsets me when a whole people are judged and associated with crime for the actions of a minority.

Not to jump back in time, but the Oklahoma City bombing is an example of this. Looking back at the news reports before the actual suspect was found, viewers should recall reporters talking about how the act of terrorism had "Middle Eastern" characteristics. Pretty unfair if you ask me. And wait, this kid was a Roman Catholic. So why didn't everyone get paranoid about Christians?

On a similar note, just because the KKK performed acts of terrorism obviously hasn't caused everyone to judge every white Christian they see. In this same light, I don't see how it can be right for people to judge everyone who's Muslim or Arab (or based on their appearance in general) for the acts of a minority who decides to be extreme.

Extremists are extremists, theyre always gonna exist. If you read the Qur'an, it promotes the spread of Islam, but it also accepts the ideals of Judaism and Christianity.. same BASIC ideas? Different people interpret them differently. So, can people please stop categorizing ALL people of the Islamic faith as bad people? I'm white and not religiously affiliated, so I can't even imagine how people who have to go through it feel. It's racism, and it's sad.
