Wheat in SaudiReader comment on item: "Saudi Arabia to End Wheat Growing" Submitted by tominoman (Qatar), Feb 25, 2008 at 05:45 I just finished an interesting book by an American Paramedic who spent ten years working in the Kingdom. In his book he tells of 500 years worth of ground water being used in 20 years by this ill fated project. Really was a great inside look into a country the West still knows little about. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a real inside look into Saudi Arabia. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
