Reader comment on item: Resisting Islamic Law

Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Feb 21, 2008 at 11:46

Increasing acceptence of harems does not indicate the strength of Sharia. Rather, Westerners, who increasingly seek to institutionalize the sexual revolution via homosexual "marriage" are waking up to the fact that their own policies and jurisprudence can no longer logically bar islamic--or any other--polygamy.

Perhaps Sharia--which has produced nothing but slums surrounded by desert or glitz where there happens to be oil--is on a roll only because the West is determined to undermine and subvert its own culture whenever possible.
