Yes to the quote from the Quran: 5:51 Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends and protectors. They are friends and protectors of one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship and supports then they become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.

This is a disturbing quote, I know of no other biblical directive to shun a group or people based on their religion. In any bible, of any faith. In that time really the only peoples around the founding fathers of Islam WERE Jews and Christians, so in effect they were saying don't trust anyone besides your kindred brothers. But Muhammad the guy that started Islam was a fighter and tough mamjama'. In Medina, Muhammad managed to unite the conflicting tribes, and after eight years of fighting with the Meccan tribes]

But! We are all animals, smart animals, but animals, just as the flight reflex in wolfs lessened as they met humans in their prehistoric trash dumps. We in our attempts to quell the passion of hate and war are a cumulative process. The musicians did something, as do the politicians as do the surfers. It all ads up. In each case the few that are changed ad to the viral love and concern that only makes it better. "Forget the advocatus diaboli, just let the love flow dudes." [say like Spicoli]

I saw the effects of getting Arabs and Jews to surf together first hand and some were greatly changed for the good.
