Poo to Pat
Reader comment on item: Did Divine Intervention Fell Ariel Sharon?

Submitted by Peter Herz (United States), Jan 31, 2008 at 09:09

In a more civilized era--like 17th century Massachusetts or Scotland--a guy like Pat Robertson would have been flogged out of town at the cart's tail for a Quaker. Speaking as a dyed-in-the-wool Evangelical, I only wish these prophetic wannabes would take a good, long look at Deuteronomy 18 and similar passages and learn that the main burden of the commandment against taking the Lord's name in vain isn't the guy who blurts our "Oh, God!" when he hits his thumb with the hammer rather than the nail; but false prophecy.
