Assalamu alaykum

Brother, i understand that you are "very very upset over Zakir Naik comments", so are the rest of us, but we must not start giving fatwas of Kufr on other muslims unless they explicitly indulge in Kufr by words, actions or belief.
I am not a supporter of Zakir Naik, nor a fan and i agree that his views on karbala as a political war are very disturbing indeed..

There are "so" many ahadith in addition to the quranic verses on the pure household that shouldnt leave us even to doubt the family of the prophet sallalahu alaihi wa alihi wassalam , one little bit.

The prophet sallalahu alaihi wa alihi wasalam said very clearly, that "fatima is a peice of me, if fatima is happy, then i am happy, if she is sad then i am sad". Mr Zakir Naik, do you really think that Fatima radiallahu anha and the rest of the household would be pleased with you calling it a "political war" ?
Do you really think that Fatima radiallahu anha's blessed soul will be pleased to know that you are doubting her son and calling him an "opportunist" ?

The prophet sallalalahu alaihi wa alihi wassalam also clearly said "i love hassan and husyan, and whoever loves them loves me and whoever hates them hates me, whoever is at war with them, then i am at war with them".

Do you really think that the Imaan of Yazid is safe if the prophet sallalahu alaihi wa alihi wassalam is at war with him? Dont you think that ALLAH will NOT BE AT war with the one who the prophet is at war with ?

Mr Zakir Naik, instead of honouring the ahlul bayt, you chose to give the benefit of the doubt to Yazid whose character is mentioned by Ibn Kathir as a "playboy, alcoholic, abandaner of the salah, an entertainer , deep lover of music". It is also reported that Yazid saw permissible to "do nikkah with your own mother".

These are clear violations of the Sunnah and the QUran and this is what Imam Husayn stood up for , not for politiics.

Do you really think you should give the benefit of the doubt to a man like Yazid who ruled for 3 years and in the first year he killed the sons and daughters of the prophet, in the 2nd year he conquered Madinah Al Munawarra, and made it open for his army to do whatever they wish. He sent from Shaam a rep who was given the authority to kill anyone in Madinah who opposes Yazid.

Ibn Hajar and others mention that "more than 1000 daughters of the Sahaba (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhum)" were raped. More than 10,000 people of the Sahaba (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhum) were tortured and beaten by the army of Yazid (La'natullahi alaihi). All the children of the Sahaba (Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhum) were taken and banged against the walls , if the parents (SAHABIS) didn't give bayah to Yazid. The horses of this tryrant urinated near the Mimbar of the prophet (Sallalahu alaihi wa alihi wassalam).In his third year he went to the kaba and destroyed and levelled and burnt it.

It is only "reasonable" that you Mr Naik apologise for your "sick" outburst and in future be careful about what you say.
