Fulbright terroristsReader comment on item: Fulbright's Terrorist Tie Submitted by Peter J. Herz (Taiwan), Oct 21, 2003 at 08:39 The recruitment by Hamas and similar organizations of highly intelligent persons who have other options and futures is a frightening thing indeed. The sort of people on whom America has pinned its Palestinian hopes are turning out to be part of the problem rather than part of the solution. Although I believe a two-state solution is, at this point, the best solution possible, the peace process is probably dead until the Palestine Arabs get sick and tired of bleeding. Seeing that others--the Northern Irish Catholics with the IRA in their midst--can hold out for decades, I doubt that peace hopes will arise any time soon.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
