The whole affair surrounding Robertson's remarks about Sharon highlights that tightrope anyone walks when they hear something from God that may offend or even hurt deeply another person. How do you say it? Who would listen?
I would hazard that a lot of others heard the same thing in the spirit that Robertson did -- myself included; but how do you express it, when doing so would only heighten the grief being felt by Sharon's family and, indeed, the entire nation? We saw some true colors in this, though: the Tourism Minister's assertion that Israel would only do business with evangelicals who did not support Robertson's comments shows that there is a price on proclaiming the Word of God, and in the case of a "Christian Heritage Center", that price is $50 million. Let's remember that all of Israel is a "Christian Heritage Center". O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killest the prophets!
