Ms. Rice must have been amazed
Reader comment on item: Israeli Leftists Plead for U.S. Pressure on Their Government

Submitted by Ken Besig (Israel), Dec 30, 2007 at 01:45

While I am sure that David Landau is quite proud of his being able to "speak truth to power," and that his friends congratulated him on his audacity, I've got a feeling that Ms. Rice found his comments to be infantile in the extreme and she was probably amazed that a person who could make such an idiotic and stupid remark is actually a senior editor for a major Israeli newspaper.

In reality, this is par for the course for the Israeli Left, and much of the American Left, which pays lip service to democracy but which deeply desires a totalitarian fascist state where any opposition is quickly and brutally eliminated.
