i find it interesting that you say that in no other nation would this happen, when in reality america has some of the most virulent left wing anti american [americans] who are constantly trying to bring about the downfall of the american dream of a strong and properous nation, and for what, only to achive their lefty control of american power and strength so as to use what the nation has built up over decades to their own benefit
reason, it seems, they believe that until everyone has a left leaning mindset, then they are wrong, and need to be re-educated [hence their fight to control school curriculums and teacher's unions]
socialists are very good at spending other people's money and utilizing other people's assets for their own agenda. HOWEVER they are mostly incapable of being the ones to generate the same wealth and this is the crux. political power to change laws to control the wealth of the nations and the people, huge oil wealth is not generated wealth as it is wholly reliant on other creative people, real wealth is CREATED and generated by new tech and innovation. my point is anybody who strikes oil gets rich, but take the oil away and nothing remains. in contrast created wealth is new, grows, and benifits other people in many ways. again, those who have money thrown at them usually squander it, and remain destitute, particulary of creativity
