I'm hesitant to read too much into this. It certainly hasn't shown any change of heart on the part of the Arab world. However, it does remind me of an Evelyn Gordon column from 2004 (I think), called "The Frequent Abstainers club. In it she argued that the American principle (introduced by the Bush administration) to veto any resolution that was not balanced started to bring other countries over to, at least, neutrality regarding Israel.
