The problem with the Turkish has - nothing to do with inferiority - but everything to do with reality.

I knew someone who lived in Turkey - Istanbul - for nine years - and she said every evening she would walk home - she would be called a whore.

The Turkish are not ready to join Europe - and I don't know if they will ever be. Not with Islam at the helm.

The main push for Turkey Accession is coming for the Bush Gov. But in a year or so he will be out of power. But for the next 100 years Europe will be stuck - with the special case of Turkey, with all its demands.

Ex. just a few days ago - the Turkish were offended - by the Inter Milan sports jersey/ T-shirt - as apparently it was seen as an "Offence to Islam". Oh dear - oh dear !!

The Turkish population is about 70 million - with two-thirds living in rural farming communities - i.e. one sheep or a cow and a few chickens. Please tell me why the European tax-payer should be asked to fund the Turkish economic upgrade. One of the last things they asked Turkey during Accession talks - was 'where is their research and development'?

Here is an arrogant country - with some fallen Empire at its back - who wants a pick up and an easy ride - through EU inclusion.

Word of advice stop thinking so hard about the women's virginity and start thinking about living in the modern world, and real progress.

And good luck to the Turkish - just not in Europe. Anyway - it is mostly in Asia.
