Salaam,
A teacher is a role model. Muslim children need Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental period.. There is no place for a Non--Muslim teacher in a Muslim schools all over the world. There is no harm in employing non-Muslim teacher at higher level in specialised subjects.
State schools with monolingual teachers are not capable of teaching English to bilingual Muslim children. This is the reason why majority of Muslim children leave schools with low grades.
Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers. They need to be well versed in English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to ser ve humanity. At the same time they need to be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.
A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. He/she does not want to become notoriously monolingual Brit.
