gibran's prophet is fine

I've not read other of his writings but The Prophet is short and sweet. I would read it a hundred times in preference to wading through the Quran even once. Sometimes simple is good. I'd be interested to know what Hecht or Jacobs consider as "good" in comparison. Probably the Bible. Ho hum. To each his own.
