Screaming How Unfair Everone Is -- It's Always Been Like That.Reader comment on item: [UNRWA:] The Refugee Curse Submitted by GK (United States), Sep 12, 2003 at 14:49 Daniel:Read the Koran -- it's a victim's manifesto. Mohammed always complained about others' mistreating his followers, and he advocated vengance and justice throughout his post-Khadija life (i.e., after his 1st wife). His wife, who was mainstream Quryaish and influentrial in the Makkan community, was a balancing factor in Mohammad's life. After her he went on to do very wierd and cruel things -- and all this is excused because is perceived by Muslims to have been Allah's a prophet. The Koran and Hadiths say compalin loudly and persistently about the wrongs done to Muslims and the AlQ Terror Handbook repeats that directive. If a Muslim is arrested, they are to scream bloody murder that they are being persecuted and that their rights are violated, and all brother Muslims are to scream with the accused. It is part of the faith. Your point is notable for its accuracy. But the behavior will always be that way. The traditions of that culture are not western, and it does not accept compromise or defeat. Keep plugging for the truth of Western and Aristotlian utopianism, because there is an ongong struggle from the exploding population of Islamic theocrats against the West's ideals except that the ideals of liberalism may serve the theocrats' purposes.
