Annapolis: Peace at what cost?Reader comment on item: Annapolis Blues Submitted by robert fusfeld (United States), Oct 24, 2007 at 19:55 Dr. Pipes: though I am certain you will disagree, much stands in the way of anything substantial happening here. The result will be the abandoning of Israel for the West's short term economic interests. That oil is the West's addiction. Rather than making true change in the way we conduct our lives, we continue supporting outdated ideas, financial realities, and the greed of a small minority who control the economic tides of our freedom and future. No one will aid the Israelis and thus they will not be able to restock their military hardware to maintain their state. Those with dual citizenship will jump the ship before the slaughter and the West will reject the refugees. The destruction will be beyond the scope of our imagination. And, arising out of this will come Jihad throughout the West. At least the West will now have its wish: NO JEWS. The Islamic sickness will no longer have a scapegoat and the messianics, Bush, Rice, et al will now be readied for the Revelation. Little do the forces of Armaggedon realize that the same maggots will be picking at the remnants of the thing called HUMANKIND. It does not take Elie Wiesel to ask Where is G-d? It is simple. G-d is asking And, this is what I created...better start over. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
