An example of hypocrisyReader comment on item: Giuliani's Fresh Start Submitted by G.Vishvas (Germany), Oct 20, 2007 at 06:11 Dear Dr. Pipes The question remains (even becomes stronger day by day): why you voted for Bush? why you were such a strong advocate of the Bush vote? It is hypocrisy to vote for a person and recommend him and then say I don't agree with his politics, and he does not take me seriously, and he is proving to be a disaster etc. etc. Objective fact is: islamofascism is stronger, more wide-spread, more self-confident because of Bush's politics of the past 6.5 years. This one line will suffice - instead of long winding essays of self-justification. "I erred" - just two words instead of this unending polit-journalism. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: See my reply at http://www.danielpipes.org/comments/111741: "I have plenty of criticisms of the president, as I have indicated in this article, and supported other candidates for the Republican nomination in 2000. But I can only have to imagine Gore or Kerry in the White House to be glad Bush won." Comment on this item
