By those standards, maybe you aren't a neocon. But for Time and Newsweek -- and of this, I'm pretty sure you're aware -- neoconservative is simply a term of derision, with a list of qualifications much less refined than those you've applied. For them, it's enough that: 1. you supported the Iraq war That makes you -- boo! -- a neoconservative. If anything, you're worse, but it appears they can't come up with a term that's any more pejorative. For that, you might have to be an Evangelical Christian. A lot of us like you anyway.
