With PM Olmert in such low numbers in the polls attending endless meetings on this fabled 'peace process', the wonder of it all is that he hasn't been hauled before a string of shrinks to explain his madness. The long suffering Jews inherited this clown after P.M.Sharon's illness required him to step into the breach, and as a little power goes a long way, Mr. Olmert is firmly on a road to doom with this idiocy.
The Jews are yet again to be the ones to offer more 'concessions' (is this new P.C. word for blackmail?) while the other side offer what, more of the same? This endless cycle of peace is killing people on a daily basis, and for this Israel must be expected to give thanks? To whom? Ms. Rice ought to have been replaced a long time ago, as her burnt offering of a plan is in fact not a plan at all, but a prelude to the next round of violence.
In my own country, Ireland, the current peace was achieved through many years of haggling and each side giving a little here, taking a little there, and between times a lot of blood. But the people of Northern Ireland wanted their children to have a better life than they had, and so reasonable people in a war setting settled on a solution and even though perfect it is not, the mad violence is off the streets that once terrorised people and those leaders, Adams|Paisley, are now sitting in Government together. They may not like each other, but they sit in Government together because no one wants a return to what the good ole days represented.
Mr. Olmert, stop giving away land to appease the unappeasable. Mr. Abbas, get your damn house in order and rein in these mad dogs of war.
