What I find most fascinating about the conspiracy theories is the stories that never even get started. No-one ever postulated the theory that Fayyed, not Diana, was the target of an assassin. Why is that? Why do their fevered imaginations all point in the same direction? Could it be because they are all desperately seeking a pretext for nursing a grievance?
