Celebrating five years of Campus Watch is a positive sign that such an organization is necessary in our society, exposing any fallacious statements by academics in the universities, and generally keeping an eagle eye on any attempt to cause dangerous ideas to ferment in the minds of our youth, who are the future of this country.
There seems to be a lackadaisical attitude toward the freedoms of the United States and that is a scary thought. One of those freedoms is the freedom of speech; however, such freedom does not mean that universities are exempt from some kind of check and balance system. Some day my twelve year-old daughter will be in college, at the mercy of her teachers, and I would like to think that Campus Watch will still be around to "hover over their shoulders" , to provide them-- and us--with the confidence that someone is willing and caring enough to run the race to the end.
