Extreme Security Concerns!!!!
Reader comment on item: Other Taxpayer-Funded American Madrassas

It would be nice if the teaching of Arabic languages could be applied like any other language class, say, French, German, Spanish, all have their uses in the success of a person's career goals and this is truly the concept of any public school system paid and backed by any government in the world.

Unfortunately we find ourselves in a war with Muslim extremists who happen to speak Arabic, thus, making the teaching of this language class a definite security risk, unfortunate but facts are that way. If the language is taught and the culture is presented in a non-prejudicial manner all is well and good, immediately when you place the religion in the mix, you've got a problem, even the most basic reading of the coran shows, (probably not spelled correctly) that some of the passages of that publication are clearly violent prone and present other religions and even other cultures as vermin to be exterminated.

Therefore, this fact alone makes the teaching of the religion along with the language impossible without commiting violations of not only seperation of Church and State, but presents a clear and present danger to the religions and cultures so dispicably presented in that Book. Anything that teaches that the slaughter of one believing a certain religion or of another culture is the highest honor you can present to your particular God/Allah, is clearly not something this country, governemt or society wants to submit our children to, especially the paying for something so dangerous to our way of life can't possibly be beneficial to this nation, it's citizens or literally our way of and very lives themselves. For any citizen of this country, especially those calling themselves patriots to think that there is a benefit that can be gained by our children being submitted to radical islamic ideas and beliefs when we are actually at this time in a clearly defined war against this same ruthless, murdering supposed religious system, is just plain insane.

This is a language that can only be taught in our schools under the most strict set of circumstances, if this were in 1940 it would be German with only the idea of use for the defeat of the enemy we were fighting agains, in this year of 2007 circumstances present themselves where again, this is the only respect in which the training in this language can possibly benefit us. But when it's children being taught this language and the radical violent insane edicts that some apply to it; there needs to be serious, professional gevernmental oversite of each and every class taught on American soil, there is just too much of a National Security interest involved to let any single class opperate in this day and age when we are literally at war, without complete gevernmental scrutiny, and even that might not be enough, I would go with constitutional and law inforcement professional providing the oversite in a manner which would be subject to the strictest time of War, National Security Interests; with full power and guidelines for not only shutting down programs but arresting and prosecuting those who use these classes to spread hate, and create adherants who could possibly become security threats to citizens of the United States.

No gevernmental funding for anything other than language classes, the second religion comes in to the classroom, class is shut down. If I can't have my children taught about Christ, Jesus and his Love for mankind, then I sure as heck am not stupid enough to pay for my children to be taught that I, as a Christiam or a Jew don't deservie anything but anialation. Wake up, we are at war our way oflife and belefs are under attack, look at it like it really is!

Sincerely,

William David Hill
