Reader comment on item: CAIR's Dirty Tricks against Me

Submitted by Edward Halper (United States), Sep 7, 2007 at 09:26

CAIR is a civil rights organization: it's against civil rights. Hooper's declaration that he'd like to see Islam as the American state religion shows his complete incomprehension of the meaning of civil rights. He is clearly against freedom of religion. It is obvious that CAIR is against free speech: they will not tolerate cartoons mocking Mohamed. Its attempts to restrict activities that might offend Muslims show its opposition to free actions.

What is amazing to me is how an organization that is so opposed to American values seriously supposed to be promoting civil rights by anyone in this country.
