Comparison IRA and "Palestinian Terrorist"
Reader comment on item: Palestinian Anarchy Continues under Hamas
in response to reader comment: think some more.

Bobby Sands is lionised, when he was a domestic terrorist. Whether you like it or not, people had and have the vote in Northern Ireland. And admittedly human rights were not what they could have been, but they were a lot better than the Palestinians currently have.

The IRA didn't clear every building before detonating bombs. There were many occasions when they phoned in false bomb warnings which would create more casualties. The main reason their campaign was less bloody is that they didn't want to lose support. They had to keep a domestic mandate.

Then there is a comment on the London Bomber. Those bombers were brought up in Britain.

If we are discussing Islamic terrorists, we should say what we mean. The people who blew up London were not the same as the people in Palestine, or the people in Iraq. And where did the 9/11 bombers come from? Mostly from Saudi Arabia.

And the final comment on Gerry Adams. I applaud the changes that have been made by Sinn Fein and the "closely associated" IRA, but that doesn't bring back all the people they killed and injured. And yes they killed and injured more people than the sum total of everyone else involved in "The Troubles".

And selling guns for leaflets?!!!! This is nonsense. The IRA carefully guarded its military capability and had problems getting arms. If Gerry Adams was selling IRA guns, it means he was heavily involved in the IRA. But I suspect this line is a lie. I mean who on earth are they going to be selling guns too?????
