More common sense, please!

Reader comment on item: Stop the NYC Madrassa
in response to reader comment: religious accommodation-or surrender?

Submitted by Nick4693 (Japan), Aug 26, 2007 at 00:36

I agree with Gary that Muslims should not be allowed to infringe upon the rights of anyone in a Western country. We should not have to toe their line; they must toe ours, or get out! Do we even need to draw pictures to bring attention to this worsening problem?

Muslims themselves did not create this situation. The fault lies with the appeasing authorities who, to get these whining ingrates off their back, side with them, even though they must know it will infuriate local citizens. John Howard, Australian PM, got it right!

Backing down to Muslims simply emboldens them to act with even more arrogance, and so the game goes on until a firm line is drawn.

Citizens meanwhile fume as these lamebrain officials give away our country. How long will it take for common sense to prevail?...
