On Burqas, etc.Reader comment on item: Ban the Burqa - and the Niqab Too Submitted by Richard (United States), Aug 19, 2007 at 19:10 What a great forum this is, with everyone contributing their various views ! Let me ask my non-Muslim fellow countrymen here in the United States a question: Let's postulate that you have a business based in an office and have about a dozen employees. You have a vacancy that needs to be filled. In response to your want ad in the local newspaper, various people appear to be interviewed for the job. One is a Muslim female clad in a burqa. If other equally qualified individuals applied, would she stand a chance of getting the job ? Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
