My personal feeling is , I have yet to meet an open minded liberal muslim among the group who are super religious, mosque frequenting and bearded/hijab/niqab wearing types. They all go by the book which says you cannot take christians and jews as friends, if you do , then you are one of them; and us "muslim umma" and them "the infidels" mentality.

For national security , a close eye must be kept on these by proper authorities as well as the neighbors. It was neighbors who got suspicious of Hawash and reported. Many American Muslims support terrorism indirectly by making generous donations to islamic groups/mosques who funnel part of these funds directly or indirectly to to terrorists. This was a great job by the authorities to take one such donor out of action.
