Aboout the Quran...... et al

You may well be absolutely right about the Quran.
I am not in the position to refute you, as I do not even understand our own bible , or moreso the debates of bible scholars using the very same book to debate 180 degrees opposing opinions... I simply do not get it.
Hence, as far as we shoul d be concerned, should we really care, what anyone is reading? Isn't it irrelevant for our own existence? Isn't it relevant on the other hand, how people understand and live by, whatever they use as their spiritual guidance book?
In that sense, it did and does not matter, if my friends were able to read the book in Arabic or not. All what matters was, how they acted. They were Pakistanis and Turks, Syrians as well as Iranians.
Was their gentle attitude and thoughtfulness an act? I can not know, as much as nobody can now, if I myself am an actor. All I can say is that I can not say a bad word about them.
Once again , Dhimmi, I try to judge the people and abstain from qualifying any written text, authored by people many centuries ago from within another lifestyle, culture, limited point of view etc.
I mean - watch a movie in black and white from the sixities. Look beyond the plot and see their attitudes, behaviours, technology etc. It is almost impossilble to identify anymore, it is so foreign. Now lets go back many hundred years and try to empathize....a different world, a different way of thinking, so much more one dimensional and black and white. I many ways a simpler life.
But that is exactly the people who wrote our guiding books. They may have meant well, but they were basing everything on their own current experiences and history to date. No wonder, the texts are confusing, cryptic, whishi washy and so easy to misinterprete.
That makes these books so incrediby dangerous, as any misguided soziopath can find a paragraph in there suiting his needs and justifying his or her crime. Isn't it exactly what happens here? It would explain, why we see many different positions and arguments based upon the very same scripture.
The fact that we have so many peaceful, normal Muslims in the Western World and on the other side fanatics such as Taliban or Bin Laden on the other side of the spectre, seems to prove that argument quite well.
