MEK-Our Ally??
Reader comment on item: [Mujahedeen-e Khalq:] A Terrorist U.S. Ally?

Mr. Pipes:

The Iranian people have a big problem with MEK. MEK has brainwashed thousands upon thousands of youngsters in Iran during 1970s. MEK has not abolished its main slogan of Marxist-Islamist ideology. My neighbor was killed by the hands of the mullahs in Iran because he was a member of MEK. MEK was the group that planned to take the Americans as hostages in 1979. The main forces were MEK members that brought catasrophe to Iran in 1979. MEK leaders mainly Rajavi thought that he could share power with Khomeini, but he found out that his ideology is not as same as Khomeini. As an Iranian I can assure you that if MEK were in power today in Iran, massacres and religious presecution would have been worse than what we see today. Please do not think that MEK has abandoned their ideology. MEK like PLO that has stock to its "Phase Plan" will not give in to its destructive ideology, which is not suited for today's Iran. Today Iran needs democracy and not another communist regime. The EU, especially the French government tries to do favors for the theocratic regime in Tehran, by handing MEK members to Iran, but we all know that it's all about Iran's gas and oil, in which the mullahs have been selling for free. I am strong enemy of the mullahs, but let us not forget what MEK members, the traitors of Iran, has done to Iran for the past 32 years.

Thanks,
Shahin S.
