Expression of opinion is the bedrock of freedom. Universities are where new ideas spring from. Columnists should not gag free speech. This is especially true when fighting evil or racism. Imagine if there had been opposition to Hitler in the late 1930s on German campuses; maybe we would have been spared the Second World War. What the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians cannot be left unchallenged. It must stop. Courageous faculty and students are standing up for good, justice and fairness. I encourage them not to allow the candle of free expression to be extinguished.
