muslims as violent

Islam is violent as a base, but it has evolved to less violent.....as Christainantiy has. The problem is that the violent part of Islam is a prevelant part of the religion today. The non-violent Muslims need to really, really come out if they aren't afraid and show the world who they are. We see lots of Muslims "outraged" over cartoons and such, but they seem to be ok with beheadings of infidels. What gives?
